End of Year Update
Yep I'm only three months late to revise my latest News but things have been real busy at Wright Motorcycles.
On the workshop front we have been super busy with the core Trail and Ag people and super busy with Matt Haskins and his racing. Matt completed in the Australian 4-Day Enduro and it was the first time he had entered an Enduro at all. He finished and amazing 9th in class (4-Stroke). This was an eye opening achievement and a real boost for Matt. We prepared his spare Yamaha 250F for the event and I made some calculated judgments on his engine to get through the event and it panned out.
Meantime he also found time to finish the rounds of the Stadium Cross and was crowned Lites Champion. An outstanding result and I am embarrassed that I haven't even been to one. The Nokia National 250 Lites had a great conclusion with Matt finishing 24th for the season. This was highlighted by an outstanding 13/13th finish in one round. Matt had some super bad luck and this year promises to be much better.
Brad Luff, Tayla Jones, and other supported riders continue to gain experience and results in the regional and national scene. A recent highlight was Tayla's first on the KTM65 in the Womens QLD racing early this year.
On a pure workshop note I have designed and am having manufactured a Dyno for testing use at Wright Motorcycles. I have local fitter/machinists, my lathe, and Paul Lawrence firing up on the project. Patience will be the key and I will no doubt find it an invaluable test tool.
